Summer Activities

The Zillertal is one of the most diverse hiking destinations of all. Choose one of many well signposted hiking trails for a family hike up to the top of a steep summit.

Ob by mountain bike or e-bike, the Zillertal can also be perfectly explored by bike. Borrow the right bike at one of the nearby sports shops. From the leisurely cycle path along the Zillerpromenade, over challenging mountain bike trails up into the mountains, to singletrack for downhill riders - the offer is boundless!

The bikes can be stowed safely in our garage during your stay!

What could be better on a hot summer day than jumping into the cold? The Zillertal spa and the outdoor pool are only a few minutes by car from Haus Sonnseitn. At the Achensee (about 20 minutes by car), the largest lake in Tyrol, you can practice windsurfing, standup paddling, sailing and other water sports. Or take a long walk along the lake promenade.

The 18-hole championship course in Uderns is just 3 km away. The golf course offers a generous practice facility and a total of 35 teeing grounds, 18 of which are covered. Elegance and exclusivity at the highest level characterize the unique appearance of the golf course with the fantastic view of the mountains of the Zillertal. There is also a golf school.

Dhe Zillertal are a culturally active and tradition-conscious people. So you know which events are currently pending, there is a calendar of events available for you daily at our reception!

Great events in summer / autumn:

Gauder Fest: Austria's largest spring and traditional costume festival (annually on the first weekend of May)
Open air concerts of the Bundesmusikkapelle Fügen: weekly in the summer
Almabtriebe: At the end of the pasture season (beginning of September), the cows are festively decorated and driven by the farmers into the valley. In each place the arrival of the herds is celebrated with a big party
